I’ve been thinking about the whole OCD “counting game”. It occurred to me that while I do some things similar to you other OCD bloggers, my counting rituals are a bit different.
I guess I AM a bit supersticious? 6 is a badluck, evil number to me so I avoid it at all costs. If I grab a handful of creamers for my coffee and wind up with 6 (OMG, NO!!!) I will put one back or grab another. 13 is also NOT on my (+) list.
When I kiss my kids on the cheek or goodnight, I kiss them 7 times. WHY? Because, don’t you see, 7 is an “ok” number. 7 happens to be 1/2 my goodluck number of 14). I don’t want to kiss them 14 times, otherwise I’d be standing there all day, so I opt for 7 – it’s still part of “lucky” and it wont take as long – or make my kids crazy because their mamma is hanging off of their face trying to get her OCD fix.
All of this and more…. I’ll post more as I recognize them for what they are. Little quirks that make me, ME.
Can you imagine if I weren’t on medication?

yeah, it’s funny. I keep finding more and more. It’s like, when you buy a new car; say a “Chevy Impala” – you never noticed them before but all of a sudden you are driving around pointing here or there “Look, there’s another one”. Wow, what a lame anology! Hmph, can’t blame a girl for trying, right?

how interesting….
my good number is 12 and my bad number is 13. this stinks because my sons bday is on the 13th. I get all excited because the 12th of the month is my “favorite” day. good things always happen and if they don’t, i’m really upset and disappointed. i also have a terrible fear of yellow lighters. bad!
Heeee-heeee-heeee. I love the random “yellow lighter” comment, I’m reading it and all of a sudden I just burst out laughing; there goes the coffee – THANKS REGGIE! Ha! Ha! Ha! That’s awesome! Do you know why yellow lighters? I know about the numbers, a lot revolves around them for me.

You weirdos! Don’t you know 4 is the perfect number! When i’m counting things like corners of windows or corners of table legs and then the legs of the table in total its always a multiple of 4. Also I count the corners on the stripes on the road as i drive. That makes me happy. I’ve been doing this for years and I just found out yesterday that not everyone does this/its a complex! Aireck! Omg this is the same thing with me ,especially when I’m riding in a car its the worse I count the edges of everything and yes most of the time its 4 or an even number, and I thought every1 did it too
