Erks me long time

Cupboards and drawers must always stay closed. I don’t want to see them open even a fraction of an inch. I don’t want them ajar . at . all.

And I don’t want to see anything poking out of them. No clothes, no towels, nothing. I like them clean looking so that means that whatever is in the cupboards and/or drawers, must be completely inside. No poking out. Ever.

  1. No cabinet doors or drawers open – Absolutely agree!!! We would make really good roommates.

Cool. And you can keep the tea towels folded! haha

  2. A good friend of mine would so totally love this blog. I have sort of lost touch with her, but damn it, I’m going to get back in touch with her because of this post, even if she hates me now (well, you just never know do you? lol). One time she was over at my place, and she couldn’t stand it, just HAD to close one of my cabinet doors that was partially ajar!

Though it isn’t really just this post – I see her in many of these posts! She organizes her closets to relax, and her place is always spotless. I’d visit and we’d cook together, but it would really be me cooking and her cleaning up the whole time. It was perfect for both of us! :D

Well good luck with your friend!
I have closed drawers and cabinet doors at other people’s houses. Even people i just met.

  3. not only does it look better, there’s less chance of breaking an ankle or cracking your damned hip on the corners of the little suckers!
i must admit to a leaning towards things being closed…i like the doors of rooms open, and windows too, but nothing else….gotta be closed!

  4. my daughter must have the door closed which impacts her ability to function at school. Anytime anyone comes in or out of door and door is left open, she is unable to function until it is closed. Any idea how she can manage this obsession?

  5. I have to have it open .. i’m claustrophobic, and doors must stay open.

If it’s at school, perhaps you could speak with the teacher, be honest about it. Tell her about her issue with the doors and if she’s a good teacher, she’ll understand. She’ll make sure that door stays closed.
