Vacuum woes

I try to vacuum my house every day, so I was quite heartbroken when my vacuum decided to crap out on me. It was a very reliable vacuum, too. I’ve had it almost 7 years and it’s never given me an ounce of trouble. But gradually, it just started going downhill, not wanting to suck and clean properlly. I was not going to have that, either!

So it farted out, which meant I had a decision to make since buying a new vacuum is not really in my budget .. electricity for the month or a new vacuum. Which one – which one. It was an incredibly hard decision to make, but in the end, I made the ultimate decision of getting a vacuum. I just gotta figure out how I’m going to make use of it in the dark *sigh*

  1. i would DIE if my vacuum gave up the ghost! it would be like losing a member of the family…nothing worse than being down a good appliance!
as for the electricity, well honey, you could always try making your own!

hahah! nobody caught on to what i said .. i’d be doing it in the dark, which means no electricity, which means no vacuum!
I’m borrowing my mom’s until I can get one.

  2. Must.Have.Vacuum.

I have a question though…I’ve never owned one of those new fangled vacs that are bagless – just the cannister you empty. Are they better than the ones with bags or is there much difference at all?

I dont like the ones with bags. I prefer the bagless, canister ones. they’re so much easier to empty and clean out .. plus, you can see what it’s in there if you accidently vacuum something you shouldnt.

  3. Red, this is HI-larious! What kind did you get? Yeah, one can come un-glued while looking at the little crumbs, debris, lint, etc. piling up on the carpet – I think it was for the best that you go the new vacuum. :)
