I have been trying to figure iut why I do this for so long. I have been smelling my hair since I was a kid. I even catch myself doing it in public sometimes. I purposely dont cut my hair short so I can smell it. I know this sounds nuts. If I could, I would probably smell my hair from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. Does this sound like anything anyone has heard of?

I understand 100 %.
I'm 18 years old and I've ALWAYS been a smeller.
Since I was younger, I always had my hands in my face, smelling my fingers or hands. I even had a quick little hand movement to let me smell them in public but quickly looked like I was pushing my hair behind my ears. *sigh*
I also smelled my blankets constantly when I was little, I always had part of it right in my face. I still do this.
It's not a horrible tick... but it's rather embarassing when my parents ALWAYS make fun of me for it; but I can't stop. I do believe its a sense of comfort we find as children, and it becomes a lifelong habit with your mental capabilities.

I hear ya! Once i walked in and my exgirlfriend was boiling pasta. I asked her how long it had been on the stove and she said she didnt know! I just about did a backflip. The mac and cheese box says 7 and a half minutes for a reason! They're the ones that created it. You can't possibly know better than them! haha
Consequently a woman will never be able to cook her way into my heart unless she is a precise scientist of a chef. But i'm sure i would find other flaws anyway.....

You weirdos! Don't you know 4 is the perfect number! When i'm counting things like corners of windows or corners of table legs and then the legs of the table in total its always a multiple of 4. Also I count the corners on the stripes on the road as i drive. That makes me happy. I've been doing this for years and I just found out yesterday that not everyone does this/its a complex! What do I do now? Why do we do this? aireckone@yahoo.com

I'm with you on the OCD thing! They have to be clear & clean! You've gotta try the Ovenware, it is the best thing ever. I've been going crazy with only one left for over a year(they discontinued a few brands of them) Scouring the net for a sign of them to no avail. Now all of a sudden they're back! Get em while you can, you can make those really messy dishes and just throw it away if you don't want to clean it, or bring them out during the holidays and not worry about getting your casserole dishes back. Best thing is they are good for the oven, fridge, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher. Anything you need they are amazing!
